Our Training Campus in Israel

Our campus, located in Beit Oved Israel, is located 20 minutes south of Tel Aviv and 10 minutes west of Rechvot.

Our main building is the Lady Elizabeth Kaye Student Center, which was specially designed to meet the needs of our blind and visually impaired clients. The Center has six spacious dorm rooms, a student lounge, dining hall, meeting rooms, and office space for our staff.

Our breeding center and animal health clinic – located adjacent to the training kennels – are separated by a large dog run. We also have an obstacle course and areas where our clients can practice specific skills independently.

In 2018, we opened our new “Puppy Development and Training Campus.” This new space includes six birthing (whelping) suites and new kennels, allowing us to double the number of dogs we provide in the coming years. Designed with our clients in mind, the new facility features an agility course, a simulated streetscape, and upgraded amenities to improve the on-campus experience and our overall services.

International Partners

The team at the Israel Guide Dog Center continues its critical work of building and strengthening international partnerships that support the growth and impact of our mission. Through these relationships, the Center benefits from access to high-quality genetic lines, expertly bred puppies, and fully trained dogs that help expand our programs and services. In addition, the Center shares its own expertise and best practices with the global assistance dog community. Today, IGDC is proudly represented on the Advocacy Committees of both the Assistance Dogs International and the International Guide Dog Federation.
